This core residency course develops Residents’ essential intercultural, intrapersonal, and ministry awareness. Residents increase their ability to accurately understand and relate to people from various cultural backgrounds and the contexts from which people (including the resident) come. This course helps develop competent global citizens with an awareness of global political and economic affairs and the current global status of the church and mission.
This course will introduce participants to gaining language learning strategies and competencies. This course is designed to be experience heavy rather than being textbook heavy. This course aims to give participants the skills to acquire techniques that improve student’s language learning styles. Also, students will be introduced to the four main competencies associated with communicative competence. These class topics will be supplemented with engaging hands-on assignments.
